- Indexes over 400 periodicals in science and technology. Recommended for undergraduates as a first stop for articles. Covers 1983 - date.
- Bacteriology Abstracts (Microbiology B)
- Topics ranging from bacterial immunology and vaccinations to diseases of man and animals, this index provides access to clinical findings as well as all aspects of pure bacteriology, biochemistry, and genetics. It is valuable to environmentalists, medical and veterinary laboratory staff, agricultural researchers, cell biologists, geneticists, toxicologists, microbiologists and bacteriologists.
- Biological Abstracts and Biological Abstracts/RRM
- Provides abstracts of current research in biological literature, including biochemistry, biology, botany, ecology, zoology, microbiology, medicine, etc. In print since 1926, online coverage goes back to 1985.
- Compendex
- The computerized version of Engineering Index (1970 - date). It provides access to journal articles, proceedings and conference papers, plus some technical reports and books covering all engineering disciplines, applied physics, electronics, materials science and fields related to science and management.
- Current Contents
- Provides citations to articles listed in the table of contents in leading scholarly journals in all fields, latest year only. This database allows electronic interlibrary loan service for faculty, select desired articles and click the "order" button at the bottom of the page.
- Dissertation Abstracts
- Source for information about doctoral dissertations and master's theses in the United States. Includes bibliographic citations for materials ranging from 1861 to those as recently as last semester. Citations from 1980 forward include 350-word abstracts. Titles published since 1997 have 24 page previews.
- DOE Energy Site Enhanced
- A multidisciplinary database that covers biomedicine, materials science, nuclear and thermonuclear power, energy sources and policy, physics, waste management, human genome project methodology, and radiation technology. The database corresponds in part to Energy Research Abstracts and INIS Atomindex it contains references to journal articles, conferences, patents, books and theses. Approximately 50% of these references are from non-U.S. sources.
- Engineered Materials Abstracts
- Covers polymers, ceramics, and composites in a variety of structural and other advanced applications. The research, manufacturing practices, properties and applications of these materials have been taken from 1,300 journals, plus dissertations, government reports, conference proceedings, and books. Engineered Materials Abstracts is a database containing Ceramics, Composites and Polymers subfiles. EMA is specifically designed to serve materials sciences researchers, engineers and scientists

- MEDLINE
- Covers the international literature on biomedicine, including the allied health fields and the biological and physical sciences, humanities, and information science as they relate to medicine and health care. Indexes over 3,700 journals.
- NTIS (National Technical Information Service)
- Resource for accessing the latest U.S. government-sponsored research and worldwide scientific, technical, engineering, and business-related information. NTIS is the central source for unclassified and publicly available information from research reports, journal articles, data files, computer programs and audio visual products from Federal sources. Information is also available from international governments and organizations, including those from Canada, Japan, the former Soviet Union, Western and Eastern European countries. Covers 1964 - date.
- Technology Research Database
- A comprehensive database which provides a single file for searching all fields of Engineering and Technology.
- Web-of-Science
- Gives researchers access to multiple years of all three ISI citation databases (1977 - date). It includes ten years worth of the enhanced version of the Science Citation Index. Also, provides links to some full-text journal articles.
- Web-of-Science Proceedings
- Provides citations to papers presented at major scientific meetings around the world since 1990.

- This site points to related sites and also contains files of relevant information. It also points to the individual home pages of biomechemists in the world who wish to share their related knowledge and experiences. It was originally created by Prof. J. Pierre Baudin with input from the Biomch-l, the biomechanics discussion forum.

- BMES
- The Biomedical Engineering Society's purpose is to promote the increase of biomedical engineering knowledge and its utilization. This site provides information about the society and its events and publications (includes full text of BMES Bulletin and abstracts of the Annals of Biomedical Engineering).
- Division of Bioengineering & Environmental Systems at the NSF
