Finding the Physical Item
Each
record in the Catalog gives information regarding its location in
the Purdue Libraries.
Location -- identifies in which of the library or unit the resource is located.
Call number -- this unique number determines the location of the resource on the book shelves. Most items in the Purdue Libraries have call numbers using the Dewey Decimal Classification or Library of Congress Classification systems.
Status -- provides information on whether the item is checked out or available. If the item you need is checked out, you may request another copy by clicking the "Request from Interlibrary Loan" link under the status field.
