Author Search

An author search allows you to find materials written by a person, an institution, an organization, or a conference.

Because it is a controlled vocabulary search, you must know the exact name of the author as it appears in the database you are searching. An author search retrieves only those items with a direct match in the author field of the record.

An author search does not find information about the author, since this type of search looks only in the author field. To find materials about an author, you must use either a keyword search or a subject search.
